About

Native to the Mediterranean region, this fast-growing biennial plant forms dense rosettes of deeply cut green leaves. In a food forest, it occupies the herbaceous layer, providing a continuous supply of green seasoning and attracting a wide diversity of pollinating insects when it blooms in its second year.

It can be planted now — September is one of the best months.
