About
Native to the Mediterranean basin, rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) is a woody evergreen perennial shrub with a dense habit and high drought resistance. In a food forest, it forms part of the low shrub layer, playing a fundamental role in attracting pollinating insects due to its prolonged flowering. Additionally, the high concentration of essential oils in its leaves acts as a natural pest repellent, aiding in the biological protection of neighbouring species.
It is harvested now — September is one of the harvest months.
