About

Small annual herbaceous plant with tender leaves used in winter salads, known as lamb's lettuce. In the herbaceous layer of a food forest, it covers the ground in the cold seasons, providing a fresh harvest. It prefers cool soils and is sown in late summer and autumn.

It can be planted now — September is one of the best months.
