About

Native to South America, nasturtium is a fast-growing herbaceous plant with annual or short-lived perennial cycles. In a food forest, it plays the role of a living ground cover, helping to retain moisture and suppress spontaneous vegetation. It also acts as a valuable trap crop for aphids, diverting pests away from the main edible crops in the system.
