About

Native to the Mediterranean basin, marigold is a decumbent to erect plant, famous for its vibrant flowers that bloom for much of the year. In a food forest, it significantly aids biological control, as its abundant pollen supply attracts hoverflies and other natural pest predators. It adapts well to various soils and self-seeds easily, filling niches in the herbaceous layer.
