About

Phleum pratense is a perennial grass native to Europe, Asia and North Africa. Growing in erect tufts, it produces soft leaves and characteristic cylindrical spikes during summer. In a food forest system, it serves primarily to produce biomass and protect the soil.

It can be planted now — November is one of the best months.
