About

Native to the Mediterranean basin, fennel is a perennial herbaceous plant with feathery foliage and a striking aniseed aroma. It displays upright growth, being highly drought-resistant and capable of thriving in ruderal or well-drained soils. In an ecological food forest, its numerous umbel flowers are essential as a source of nectar and pollen for beneficial insects.

It is harvested now — July is one of the harvest months.
